The Edit workspace is where all retouching happens. It consists of six sections: Tool Bar (top), Floating Widget (left), Picture Preview (center), Gallery (bottom), Control Panel (right), and the five Feature Modules. Knowing where everything lives before you start editing prevents confusion later.
How to do it
Enter Edit mode by double-clicking any image in the Library, or pressing D.
The Tool Bar at top gives you: return to project (G), add images, undo/redo, Manual Tools, and Search.
The Floating Widget on the left provides quick access to Presets, Masking overlay, and editing History.
Use the Picture Preview (center) to see your edits live. Press spacebar for before/after comparison. Right-click the background to change canvas color.
The Gallery (bottom) shows all project thumbnails with the same filter options as Library.
The Control Panel (right) holds five editing modules: Color, Portrait Retouching, Background, Clothing & Accessories, and Pet Retouching. Right-click in the panel area for Solo Mode, Collapse All, or Expand All.
Try it
Open any image in Edit mode. Toggle Solo Mode on, expand one feature group, then try the before/after comparison with spacebar.
Watch out for
The bottom gallery cannot be resized while using Crop or Rotate tools.
Canvas color is for viewing only — it does not affect exported images.
