AI Facial Recognition automatically detects and tags every face in your image, enabling per-person editing and linked portrait retouching across an entire set. This is the foundation for all portrait work — it must detect faces before skin, reshape, or expression tools can target specific individuals.
How to do it
Facial Recognition activates automatically when you enter the Portrait Retouching module.
Each detected face gets a character tag. Click a tag to select that specific person for individual editing.
Individual Editing: make adjustments (skin, reshape, expression) to one person without affecting others.
Linked Portrait Retouching: link edits for one person across all images in the project so the same adjustments apply consistently.
Try it
Open a group photo with 3+ people. Verify each face is detected and tagged. Select one person and apply a slight skin smoothing — confirm it only affects that individual.
Watch out for
Faces at extreme angles or heavily occluded may not be detected automatically.
Linked editing syncs the same adjustments to the same person tag across images.
