Import & Export Basics

Supported file types, import methods, and export options including credit rules.

Article· 5 min

Evoto supports a wide range of file types for import and multiple export formats. Understanding the import flow, supported formats, and credit implications of export is essential before you start any real work.

How to do it

  1. Import images by: creating a new project and dragging files in, using the + button in Library or Edit, or importing a .lrcat Lightroom catalog.

  2. Supported import formats include RAW files from all major camera brands, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and HEIF.

  3. To export, select images and click Export in the top toolbar. Choose format (JPEG, TIFF, PNG), quality, and destination.

  4. Check Export History to review previously exported files and their settings.

  5. Be aware of credit consumption: AI-processed exports consume credits, while certain Color, Manual Tool, and Crop edits can be exported credit-free on paid plans.

Try it

Import 5 RAW files, make a simple color adjustment, then export them as high-quality JPEG. Check Export History to confirm the output.

Watch out for

  • Importing into a non-empty project prompts you to add to the current project or create a new one.

  • LRCAT imports always create a new project.
