Lesson 39 of 39Auto Import & Export

Auto Import & Export Setup

Configure automatic folder watching, import rules, preset application, and export automation.

Article· 5 min

Auto Import & Export turns Evoto into a hands-off processing pipeline. Point it at a folder, configure import rules and preset application, and every new image is automatically imported, processed, and exported — ideal for school portrait days, events, and high-volume studio work.

How to do it

  1. Open Auto Import & Export from the toolbar or menu.

  2. Auto Import Settings: set the watch folder, file type filters, and import behavior (new files only, or all files).

  3. Configure preset auto-application: choose which preset is applied to newly imported images.

  4. Auto Export Settings: set the output folder, format (JPEG/TIFF/PNG), quality, and naming convention.

  5. Enable the pipeline and test with a few files before committing to a full volume session.

Try it

Create a test watch folder, drop 5 images into it, and verify they are automatically imported, have a preset applied, and are exported to the output folder within seconds.

Watch out for

  • Auto Export consumes credits for AI-processed images — monitor your credit balance for high-volume sessions.

  • Ensure the export folder has sufficient disk space before starting a batch session.
