Blemish Removal targets specific skin imperfections: freckles, acne, moles, and face shine. Each tool uses AI to detect and clean up blemishes while preserving natural skin texture — unlike global smoothing which affects everything.
How to do it
In Portrait Retouching, expand the Blemish Removal group.
Freckle & Acne Removal: use the slider to control intensity. The AI detects and removes small spots while preserving skin texture.
Face Mole: targets larger, more permanent marks. Adjust intensity carefully to avoid over-processing.
Reduce Face Shine: dampens oily-skin highlights, especially on forehead, nose, and cheeks. The slider controls how aggressively shine is reduced.
For precise control, use the Manual Tuning Pen to target specific areas rather than applying globally.
Try it
Open a close-up portrait. Apply Freckle & Acne Removal at 50%, then compare with 100%. Find the intensity where the skin looks cleaner but still real.
Watch out for
Aggressive blemish removal on editorial/fashion work removes the subject character.
Face Shine reduction at high values can create a matte, unnatural look — especially under studio lighting.
