Wired Tethered Shooting

Set up wired tethering: connect your camera via USB, configure capture settings, and shoot directly into Evoto.

Article· 5 min

Wired Tethered Shooting connects your camera to Evoto via USB for real-time capture, preview, and editing. Images appear in Evoto the moment they are captured, enabling instant review, preset application, and client-facing preview during a shoot.

How to do it

  1. Connect your camera to your computer via USB.

  2. Open Evoto and navigate to Tethered Shooting. Click Start Tethered Shooting.

  3. Follow the Camera Connection Guidance for your specific camera brand (Fujifilm, Sony, Canon, Nikon, etc.).

  4. Configure Tethered Shooting Setup: destination project, file naming, and capture settings.

  5. Shoot — images appear in Evoto in real-time. Apply presets or adjustments on the fly.

Try it

Connect your camera, start a tethered session, and capture 5 test shots. Apply a preset to the first image, sync it to the others, and confirm the workflow is smooth before a real shoot.

Watch out for

  • Check Supported Camera Models in Evoto Support for compatibility before purchasing equipment.

  • Camera batteries drain faster during tethered shooting — use a power adapter if available.
