Pet Body Retouching

Remove leashes and stray fur for cleaner pet portraits.

Article· 4 min

Pet Body Retouching provides two essential tools for professional pet photography: Leash Removal (eliminate visible leashes and leads) and Stray Fur Removal (clean up flyaway fur for a polished look).

How to do it

  1. In the Pet Retouching module, expand the Body group.

  2. Leash Removal: the AI detects and removes visible leashes, leads, and harness straps. Adjust intensity with the slider.

  3. Stray Fur Removal: cleans up flyaway fur, whisker tangles, and loose hair for a groomed appearance.

  4. Use Manual Tuning for precise control over areas where the AI may miss or over-apply.

Try it

Open a dog portrait with a visible leash. Apply Leash Removal and compare — the leash should disappear naturally without leaving traces on the fur or background.

Watch out for

  • Leash Removal on images where the leash crosses over the pet body may leave artifacts at the intersection.

  • Stray Fur Removal at high intensity can smooth away fur texture — keep it moderate.
