How to do it
In Pet Retouching, expand the Eyes group.
Eye Lightening: brightens the overall eye area for a more alert, engaging look.
Eye Color Enhancement: intensifies the natural eye color for richer, more vibrant results.
Catchlights: adds or enhances light reflections in the eyes that create liveliness.
Try it
Open a close-up pet portrait. Apply Eye Lightening at 40%, then add Catchlights to see the difference in expression. The eyes should look brighter and more alive without looking artificial.
Watch out for
Over-lightened pet eyes look unnatural — especially on dark-eyed breeds.
Catchlights should match the lighting direction in the scene.
