A wedding ceremony is the one stretch of the day you cannot reshoot. By the end of this lesson Instant is locked into a ceremony-safe configuration so AI editing keeps moving even if Wi-Fi wobbles, the second shooter switches lenses, or someone bumps the laptop.
How to do it
Thirty minutes before the ceremony, switch the project to Manual Approval. Auto-approval during the ceremony spreads any wrong AI choice across hundreds of frames before you can stop it.
Pre-warm the connection: capture five test frames in the venue, confirm they reach Imported within 60 seconds.
Pin the laptop to a single Wi-Fi network. Roaming between hotspot and venue Wi-Fi mid-ceremony is the most common upload failure.
Tell the second shooter which body is the Instant body. Mixed cameras going into the same project create per-camera colour drift.
Watch the Imported counter — not the gallery — during the vows. Approve in batches between scenes (rings, vows, kiss).
Try it
On your next wedding, run a 5-minute pre-ceremony rehearsal: switch to manual approval, capture test frames, confirm Wi-Fi, and only then let the second shooter move into position.
Watch out for
Leaving auto-approval on for the ceremony. One wrong AI tone choice will be locked into 200 sacred frames.
Letting someone else move the laptop or hotspot mid-ceremony. Stability beats clever placement.
