Instant gives you Global Links, Personal Links, Find Me in Global Gallery, Find Me in Individual Gallery, and the Interact face-recognition link — five sharing variants from three primitives. New users default to "all of them, on every event," which floods guests with link choices. The right setup is one decision per event type, applied as a Classic Mode toggle pattern at project create time.
How to do it
Wedding (anyone in the wedding party should see anything): enable Global Link as the main delivery + enable Find Me under Global Gallery. Guests can browse the whole event AND quickly locate themselves. Skip Interact — issuing personal links to 200 guests is operationally heavy.
Corporate / executive headshots (each person should only see their own photos): use Interact in Individual Gallery to generate personal links per subject. Don't enable Find Me here — it lets executives see colleagues' photos, which is usually not the agreement.
Brand activation / large public event (public-facing, lots of consented guests, no privacy contract): Global Link + Find Me in Global Gallery. Optionally enable the QR code variant of Global Link for guests to scan on-site.
Mixed-privacy events (e.g., a corporate gala with both press photos and exec headshots): create two Instant projects, not one. Press photos → Global. Exec headshots → Individual via Interact. Trying to mix both in one project is what produces the privacy leaks Instant gets blamed for.
Enable Find Me at the project level on the project that needs it — the Find Me feature must be enabled individually for each project for viewers to access it.
Try it
For the next 3 events on your calendar, pick the gallery mode in advance using the rules above. Note the event type, the chosen mode, and whether Find Me is enabled in Global or Individual. After delivery, count guest support questions — the right mode usually drops "I can't find my photo" tickets to near zero.
Watch out for
Forgetting that Interact is available only in Individual Gallery. If you want personal links + face recognition, you have to be in Individual mode.
Enabling everything "to be safe." Guests get confused, choose the wrong link, and end up in a gallery that doesn't show what they expected.
Switching gallery modes mid-event. Some sharing options vary depending on the selected project mode, so changing mode after links are out can break links already in circulation.
